Creatures of the Forest Book & Nook Unboxing

“Because all the monsters have been let out of their cages tonight, no matter what court they belong to. So I may roam wherever I wish until the dawn.”

-Sarah J Maas, A Court of Thorns and Roses

Hi everyone, it’s candle time!

Yes, this is an unboxing from MARCH, (oops), but in my defence, I was lost in drafting a new WIP throughout all of March soooo hopefully it will be worth taking over my life for a few weeks? Maybe?

Anyway, here’s my unboxing for the rather fabulous Book & Nook Creatures of the Forest box, complete with my bumbling scent descriptions that you’ve all come to know and love (I’m hoping?) and lots of glittering, sparkly goodness!

On with the candles!

I lied… First up, is of course, the double-sided theme bookmark!

I love all things fae and magical, so this month’s is a particular favourite of mine.

NOW on with the candles!

Unseelie Lands

Inspired by the world of the Shadowhunters, (of which I am a fan, of course), is Unseelie Lands. Scented with pine, white musk, and myrrh, it is a deep, dark, smoky scent, like capering about in a fae forest, and it’s paired perfectly with the glittery pitch black colour of the wax and glitter!

Faerie Fruit

haha no of course I haven’t wished I could eat this one… *laughs nervously*
Faerie Fruit is inspired by The Cruel Prince (love love) and is DELICIOUS. It smells of apple, pear, and honey, and is sweet and delicately fruity and just MMM. Also loving the bright sunshine yellow and iridescent glitter going on here.

Faerie Wine

Okay, I’m calling it, this one is my FAVE. Faerie Wine is inspired by ACOTAR and smells like snowberry, mistletoe, and cider, and is just GORGEOUS. Sweet, but not overpoweringly so, a hint of fruitiness, and some alluring depth (because we all know what alluring depth smells like, right?!), it’s the kind of candle you can’t stop sniffing. Plus, it’s this fabulous dark red colour with two different kinds of red glitter and just… yum. I love everything about it.

The Horned Prince

Inspired by The Darkest Part of the Forest, which I haven’t read yet, but have on my wishlist, The Horned Prince smells like clementine, snow, and trees, and I really love this combination! Foresty with a hint of fruit, it’s fresh with a slight zing of fruity sweetness and just really nice. The photo doesn’t do the colours justice -it’s a mint green wax with both lime green and emerald green coloured glitter sprinkled on top. I love it!

Amulet of Orynth

Inspired by the ToG series, this one smells like blackberry musk, night, and fairy dust. It’s got quite a light, fresh scent with a musky underlayer to it and is complex and nice. Also loving the colours here!

Surprise Extra

And for this month’s surprise extra, we got this gorgeous little necklace with blue glitter and an adorable fairy! It fits nicely with the theme and is just lovely.

Full Unboxing

And here is the full unboxing… Except it isn’t, because for some reason I just put the candles in?! But I mean, look at them… You can’t blame me for being distracted by their sparkliness…

This was a theme I particularly loved so I adored this month’s Book & Nook box to bits! If you want to grab anything from their store (link here) – monthly box or random candle treats, then remember to use COSY10 to save yourself 10%!

Thanks so much for reading everyone!
